Coming Soon: The Centre's In-Person Event
Our Event Is Coming Soon!
What To Expect
20,000 years ago humans faced an existential threat. Intelligent and coordinated roving packs of viscious animals preyed around our communities; eager for the opportunity to steal our food and eat our children. Then something incredible happened. "The big bad wolf" became "man's best friend." Many historians credit this as the first cross-species collaboration, which sparked countless others (from plants that underpin our food systems to all other domesticated animals).
How did this incredible turn of events happen? What can we learn about it as we think about our relationship with technology and AI?

Join us as we answer that question, while enjoying the company of our fantastic furry friends. There will be AI experts, engaging games, and insightful forums. The three main forums are:
-
Treats or Terrors: Dogs like to steal our food, AI can steal our data, what similarities and insights can come when we see them together?
-
Packs and Practics: Dogs are social animals, humans have tribalism deep inside, how can AI help us make better decisions that transcend our biases?
-
Speed and Cycles: Dogs run faster than we do, so they are great for hunting. AI has faster cycles to map and understand complex problems. What directions should we send that high-speed thinking towards?
-

There will be snacks for all species. Children are also welcome (but not as snacks). Volunteer puppy walkers will be present.
